Tapena 2005 Tapena Tempranillo
July 20, 2008

Tasting Notes:
Tempranillo is one of Spain’s most important red varietals. It is the base for all red wines from Rioja, and the Tapeña Tempranillo is aclassic interpretation of this food-friendly grape. Luscious red cherry fruit flavors are balanced with an earthy, structured backbone.A touch of mocha and spice linger on the long, smooth finish.

Got something to say?

I purchased this bottle of Tempranillo at Food Lion. They just restocked there shelves with some different choices. I found the aroma to be swell. Sweet smell of fruit with a hint of a woodsy scent. The flavor hit pretty hard with tannins at first. They died down as the bottle sat open. Had the spice affect across the tongue. seemed to make my body temp increase.
