Wine Makers Notes: The traditional Southern Red Muscadine wine, Hatteras Red is slightly sweet with intense fruit. This wine brings back memories of the Old South with stately mansions, warm sunshine and gracious hospitality. Serve chilled.

The wine is produced in North Carolina.

Now this is the Second Muscadine wine that I have tried. The first one was San Sebastian Rosa NV and I hated it. I ended up dumping it down the sink. This Duplin Muscadine is not that bad at all. It actually reminds of when I was a kid and picked these grapes in Florida. I used to eat them till I got sick. Hard to explain aroma and taste at all. It is just something you will have to try yourself.

Delicious, if you are like me. I want the health benefits of a red wine but simply can not appreciate the complexity of aroma and flavor of some “good” reds. This is sweet and easy. Almost like a wine cooler. Totally enjoyable in an unpretentious way. Best of all, I was able to pick it up while doing the rest of my grocery shopping while at Wal-Mart.
