Carmenet Chardonnay 2001

Wine Makers Notes: Carmenet pulled off a nice, inexpensive wine here. Full aromas of grapefruit and gooseberries are followed by pure fruit flavors unburdened by layers of oak. Nice acidity ties it all together.

I purchased 2 bottles of this chardonnay from a local grocery store called Farm Fresh. Aroma was that of light wood and pretty tart. The taste was oaky with a slight touch of sour. Would not go as far as saying lemon sour but just slightly sour. Good buy for under $8 bucks.
