I love this chardonnay, Have purchased it for a few years now, and thought it was my secret! Very nice quality for the price. I am not a red wine drinker. The Pinot Grigio and Sauvignion Blanc are also nice, but I'll stay with my charddy...

Flavor: 9

Had a favorable impression of Oak Leaf from all the reviews, so decided to give it a try. First let me say that having read almost all 118 reviews here, the quality of Oak Leaf seems to be hit or miss. If you try a bottle of a variety and like it, then you should run back to Walmart & get the rest, because the next shipment could be a totally different story. I say this as a way of giving the other, positive shiraz reviewers the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not a wine connoisseur, I've just read a bit, and I don't generally prefer reds anyway. I purchased two bottles of Oakleaf Shiraz on Saturday, along with one bottle of the Zinfandel. I wish now that I'd gotten two Chardonnays instead of the Shiraz, or at least just one of each!

I opened the bottle to breath while I made a simple dinner of spaghetti. I poured a glass to accelerate the aeration. If that's the right word! lol So, I give it the nose test, and...it smells like vinegar. Since I rarely drink reds, I think, nah, that's not vinegar, that's probably oak, right? Surely it couldn't be....but it was. I took a sip while sitting at the table and, blech. Vinegar. No wine with the meal tonight. I poured it out.

So, I dunno. Maybe I got a bad batch. I have another bottle, but I'm not inclined to try it anytime soon. Maybe it would make a good vinaigrette? Actually, that's probably a good idea for it.

I put the Zinfandel in the fridge to chill. If that's a bust, I dunno. Might try the Chard before I totally give up, but if you can't trust the quality, even $3 is $3. If I used the $3 to buy 3 lottery tickets I'd have just as good a chance of coming out even.

If you try it just buy one bottle until you've done the taste test. That's all I have to say about that! lol

Flavor: 1

Damn good wine! I mean GREAT wine! This, along with the Merlot and Shiraz, can't be beat.

Wine Enthusiast needs to do a feature on these wines and not just in their Top 10 Wines Under 10.00 column.

They have just opened a new Wal-Mart less than a mile from my house and needless to say, I will be buying more of these wines.

Great job and keep producing these great wines at these very affofdable prices.

Flavor: 10

Like many I have snubbed lesser price bottles 2-6 dollars a bottle. The I tried a Trade Joe brand of Green Fin Organic White Table wine, I loved it. The I tried a few lesser price Chardonnay wines, of which I poured out or cooked with. In the summer I really enjoy a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and decided to try the $2 to $6 price points, its been a hit and miss. I just finished a bottle of Golden Gate Vintners Sauvignon Blanc at Albertsen's "it is drinkable when very chilled". The at Walmart for the second time this year, I spotted the Oak Leaf Sauvignon Blanc, "NICE !!!" I agree with a anothers comment the Sauvignon Blanc is great for a Bakersfield Lazy Sunday summer lunch, served chilled, the wine is crisp with a citrus "grapefruit / lemon, and peppery flavor. I am going back to buy more ... I may even try the Chardonnay

Flavor: 6

I am sitting here laughing at those who think paying $30 for a bottle of wine means they're getting "THE BEST." I have no comment on the reds. since I like my wine ice cold. I have tried many many pinot grigios and sauvignon blancs; especially at upscale wine tastings. And you know what..............buy them at Walmart. They are as good as and perhaps better than the high priced stuff.

Flavor: 1

I could care less about the snobbiness of the wine critics who want to spend too much for a bottle of wine. Most of us who are barely surviving, trying to hold on to our jobs before they get outsourced to china or some other country, and those of us who rent because we cannot afford an expensive mortgage (Financial Kiss of Death) on a house... we have no choice but to buy cheap wines due to budgets. I used to buy 2 buck chuck wines at Trader Joes, but the price went up too high. So I now buy the Oak Leaf wines at Walmart, and they are wonderful wines. My two favorites are the Merlot, and the Chardonnay. Which I am enjoying right now as I write this. Lovely white Chardonnay. I don't care about the wine snobs or being an expert on wine. I just love a good, affordable wine that has no fuss about it. Simple wines for simple people like me. That is Oak Leaf. I leave the more expensive wines for the wine snobs and the millionaires who can afford to waste money on exspensive wines.

I am a working class man who is happy with this affordable wine. Without this affordable priced wine, only the rich would be able to enjoy wine.

I am happy with this wine. Every time I buy a bottle, I am pleased with it. When I am a millionaire I can enjoy the 28 dollar bottle of premium wine. Until then, as a poor working class man I will be happy with my 2 dollar bottle of Oak Leaf Wine.

My glass is raised to Oak Leaf in Cheers... great job on a decent wine at a very affordable price!! I hope to buy a hundred more bottles in the future!!

Ok guys I picked up this wine because its late and Walmart is the only store open at this hour, and In the college town of kennesaw, wine is not a priority (fair beer selection, but wine.. not so much). Every bottle in the store was unrepeatable, so me and my girlfriend decided that if we were going to be cheap (I usually spend about $16 on a bottle of wine.. not too much but there are some great wines in that range) we should just go with the cheapest.

We are currently laughing, and I stumbled across this website looking for a review, as I was surprised that a Cabernet could be so...how to put it frankly?.. Bad. Its flat, bland, and overly fruity. A big flavor gap is missing as this particular wine is absent of that distinctive "woodsy dryness" that is nearly commonplace in even the worst Cabs.

Couldn't give it 1's, because with a B.B.A. in Finance and studying for my J.D., I can understand that at $3 a bottle, you can't deliver anything special.

Also, to the people who are giving this wine raving reviews. Seriously? Grab really good Cabernet (Educated Guess v.2007 makes one for around $28) and tell me that it doesn't change your mind.

Flavor: 2

I have been a wine drinker and lover for many years. I recently started shopping at Wal-Mart. I saw this wine and was immediately suspicious because of the price. So I bought one bottle and took it home to try. I was so amazed, I loved it!! I went back the next day and bought 3 cases. I serve it all the time!! I find it is so funny how people rave about the taste and then when I tell them how much it cost they almost look embarrassed for going on and on about the wine. I love it and will continue to drink it all the time. Dr. No just a side note for you. I do not live in the slums and I do eat at Mcdonalds occasionally. So I think you should keep your ignorant judgements to yourself!!

Flavor: 10
