Walmart Oak Leaf Vineyards Pinot Grigio Chardonnay NV
February 28, 2008

Cheap Wine Critics Remarks: This Oak Leaf Vineyards Chardonnay / Pinot Grigio was very decent. We thought it was similar to other low priced pinot grigio’s. The aroma of this wine was a sweet and fruity, while the flavor I detected was of apple with a slight sour aftertaste. Kinda like a Washington green apple.

[...] to how many hours I worked to buy a 720ml bottle of wine! Oak Leaf Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Oak Leaf Vineyards Pinot Grigio/Chardonnay and Charles Shaw “Two Buck Chuck” all Varietals have been searched more than any other [...]
I saw this at Walmart for $1.97 a bottle. I laughfed but then figured it’s only $1.97 let me give it a shot. Wow, this wine is as good as most Pinot Grigios 6x its price! You ca’t go wrong. Went back and bought 60 bottles.
Wow! $1.97??? And I was looking over my shoulder, thinking someone had made a mistake – when I grabbed a couple of bottles at $2.97… It’s not a bad little everyday wine. i’ve spent far more and been way more disappointed than I was in this. Went back and bought a couple of cases and will continue to seek it out. Serve it in a gorgeous glass and keep the price a secret!
the best Pinot we have found for the price, wife and I go through a case per month. Just excellent.
Tonight I purchased another bottle of this chardonnay pinot grigio. I am must say this bottle does not taste like the rest. I wish they would vintage them or at least give a batch number.

Yeah, I noticed a HUGE difference in an Oak Leaf Cabernet I just bought at Wal-Mart . . . didn’t taste at all like the one I bought a few weeks ago. That ticked me off, because there’s no way to distinguish what’s what. But . . . for $3.00, I guess I can’t complain. Or can I?

I tried Oak Leaf when shopping for an other brand of wine which they were out of. I thought for the price I could not go wrong. Well, I really like the brand and I still buy it. I have never bouth something because of the brand and everyone else thinks its great. I use my own dis creations. I rate this on the top of my list….
Loved this wine. I find Yellow Tail’s pinot similar but slightly better… The Oak Leaf is not as fruity.
HOWEVER… I can get 3 bottles of this little jewel for the same price as one bottle of the Yellow Tail… And as a post-college grad without a “real” job, this will do the trick!
I loved this Pinot Grigio. I have bought many bottles. Best cheap one I have found.
This is a wonderful bottle of wine, as many have mentioned it is non vintage, however with over 8 cases below my belt since its launch i have never been disappointed it is very consistent a rarity in this price range.
