HOLY MOLLY!! Oak Leaf Vineyards $2.97 wine as upgraded to a larger bottle or should I say Box!! I was looking for some items at my local Walmart when I ran Across some Godly!! A 3 Liter box of Oak Leaf Vineyards Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in a 3 Liter Box. Now if you know anything about box wine, then you know you can keep most box wine for over a month. If you dont drink 3 Liters a month maybe this is not the site for you!! :) I say Tell me what you think about the box wine. Let me know how long it had been in your fridge open and if it is still good. It is a great wat to spend $10.00. Hit me back. Let me know what you think.

Quality Cheap Wine or Just Cheap Wine?

January 7, 2009 | 2 Comments

If you are like me and found that wine was your poison, then you might have noticed it is not like buying a 12 pack of Bud Light. You got pay a price for a bottle that you will have to finish. In general your wine will spoil if left it out over night after opening. I have tried the tricks like pressurizing the bottle, refrigerate down to just above freezing, and I found they don’t work well. Look for the CHEAP WINES!!! The guy or gal who has a closet full of $40 to $70 dollar bottles feels great about his or her collection!! Yet odds are if they did not educate themselves on the life span of certain grapes, they might have a bunch of drain cleaner waiting to be emptied into the belly of the earth. If you have tried these ones I am about to list below then let me know. OH YA!! Don’t forget to register!! It is free!!

Oak Leaf Vineyard Pinot Grigio Chardonnay —– at $2.97 a bottle!! Just dump it if you hate it!!

Alice White Red Lexia — This makes a great Social Wine. At 4.00 to 6.00 bucks a bottle.

ROOT:1 Cabernet Sauvignon —-Now this is A decent Cabernet Sauvignon that I first found at World Market, then I found it again at Publix(A grocery Store Chain) Runs about $8.00 to $11.00 a bottle. WORTH IT!!

Over six months I have had the Oak Leaf Vineyards wines listed on my site. This is my biggest wine on my site. When I first started this site I thought Two-Buck-Chuck was the best wine under $4.00. I may be wrong. The responses from all you visitors have been all positive. I do not think I have one negative comment on Oak Leaf Vineyards. Let’s let the challenge begin. Tell us what you thing of th taste between the two, the occasion you enjoyed or hated it, or what your guest thought about it.

Tienen duende rose 2005

May 25, 2008 | 2 Comments

tienen.JPG Wine Makers Comments: A bold, contemporary approach to the “new” Spain, Tienen Duende is a sensation that envelops and stirs the soul, capturing the intensity of colors, flavors and movements, fuelled by the passion for living. That indescribable feeling that permeates Spain feeds the soul, and forever stays with you. This feeling is the Duende, and in Spain, Tienen Duende - “They’ve got real soul.”
Our wines express that intensity of color & flavor and the label depicts the movement. The icon on the label, which at first reminds you of a rose in bloom, is actually a depiction of the bottom of a flamenco dress in motion. Tienen Duende - “They’ve got real soul.”

7-Eleven remarks: The delicate complexity of this crisp California Pinot Grigio can be enjoyed on its own or with a wide range of fish, chicken, and vegetable dishes. Preparations that pair particularly well with the wine’s peach, melon and mint flavors include pasta primavera, seafood risotto, spring rolls, and Chinese chicken salad.

Sonoma Crest 2005 Chardonnay at $10

Wine Maker’s Remarks: This chard is dry and creamy with tons of juicy peachs, pears and apple butter with a hint of oak. Great 10 buck bottle of chardonnay you can get at you corner 7-Eleven.

Cheap Wine Critics Remarks: I noticed this wine at Seven Eleven. I have never seen anyone purchase a bottle. I want to purchase it yet I noticed most exclusive wines are normal Cheaper in price. At $10.00 I must question it at Seven Eleven.

Walmart Oak Leaf Vineyards Pinot Grigio Chardonnay NV

Cheap Wine Critics Remarks: This Oak Leaf Vineyards Chardonnay / Pinot Grigio was very decent. We thought it was similar to other low priced pinot grigio’s. The aroma of this wine was a sweet and fruity, while the flavor I detected was of apple with a slight sour aftertaste. Kinda like a Washington green apple.
